According to WHO, there are 466M deaf communities across the globe who are facing communicational barrier due to lack of availability of sign language interpreters. Deaf people are not able to communicate with the general public without sign language interpreter, hence excluding them out of full and effective participation in the society.
DeafTawk built a mobile application which includes video calling platform. Through the app, deaf users are able to connect with certified interpreter in order to communicate with the general public.
All 3 co-founders have been working on DeafTawk since its inception. Ali is looking after the Business Development part because of 10 years’ experience in marketing and business development. Wamiq is looking after technology as he is the first deaf computer engineer in Pakistan and Singapore having 8 years of experience as a Technical Lead. Abdul is looking after Operations since he has experience of managing operations of digital banking and consumer banking sectors of 8 years.
