Your Guide to Submitting Your Innovation to the STI Forum 2019

The Call for Innovations for the SDGs 2019 is initiated by the United Nations in collaboration with Global Innovation Exchange. Innovations will be submitted to the Call through the GIE's innovation profiles and will be publicly featured in GIE’s searchable database. There is a 3-part process to submitting your innovation for consideration.

Step 1: Add/Update your innovation

You already have a GIE account:

Steps will vary based on whether (1) you have an innovation profile on GIE or (2) you need to add one.

(1) You have an innovation profile* on GIE. Follow the below steps:

1. Login to the GIE powered STI Forum site here.
2. Click on the user settings dropdown on the top right corner.
3. Click on the innovation name to view your innovation profile and edit it.
 4. If you have more than one innovation profile, please consolidate the information into one and email us to delete the others.

5. Follow these tips to make sure your profile stands out during the judges' review!

* If you do not have an innovation profile on GIE, see the below steps to add an innovation.

1. Click here to login to the GIE powered STI Forum site and begin to add your innovation! As you type your innovation name, you will see a dropdown of innovation names that exist on GIE (see screenshot below). From here you have two options:

  1. If you see your innovation on the list, select it. This will allow you to claim it and start managing the profile.  If you have trouble with this, email us.
  2. If you don't see your innovation on the list, finish typing the name and select the countries where you've already implemented the innovation.

2. You'll only need to create one innovation profile for each social enterprise, not one per product/service. This helps you put the best foot forward about your social enterprise to funders and other collaborators.

3. Follow these tips to make sure your profile stands during the judges' review.
